Staff Profile

James Hoard grew up in the small town of Cohasset, MN.  He attended Grand Rapids high school and furthered his studies at Augsburg College.  While attending Augsburg, he earned a bachelor of arts degree.  James also wrestled for the Augsburg Auggies and earned two NCAA National Team Championships.  James majored in Health and Physical Education and took a job at Arlington High School in 1996/1997. James has remained at this school to the present time.  The school is now called Washington.  He teaches Health, Strength Training, and Stress Management.  James also coaches tennis and wrestling at Washington.  The mission for James and his students is 1% improvement each day.
