I've been teaching for more than 30 years, more than 20 in St. Paul. After volunteering as a teacher in Chicago's inner city, I pursued my teaching degree and proficiency in Spanish, back home in Minnesota and then in Guatemala for a year.
I love the school calendar with all the fresh starts and new beginnings. All of us need some basic understanding of the sciences to be an informed citizen of our country and world.
