Ticket Information
Tickets sales April 18 - May 16, 2025
Purchasing a ticket confirms you acknowledge the following:
- You agree to follow prom rules and dress code.
- You have a completed guest form filed with the school.
- No transfers of your ticket.
Note: This includes but is not limited to suspensions/dismissals the week before Prom, school transfers, date cancelations, or illness.
Purchase Tickets Using Cash or Credit @ the Library:
- Before school 7:00-7:25 AM
- After school 2:00-3:15 PM
- During lunch
- Please bring payment your completed guest form
Rules & Expectations
The WTMS Junior-Senior Prom is a St. Paul Public School event.
All school rules and expectations are to be followed. If they are violated, you will be required to leave prom without a refund. Smoking, consuming alcohol and/or illegal substances are prohibited at school events.
Attendance Policy
- All attendees must have a ticket to attend. No tickets will be sold at the door. Please see Ticket Information for details.
- The doors to the ballroom open at 7 PM. Please arrive no later than 8 PM. The doors will close promptly at 8 PM. No one will be admitted after the doors close.
- Prom ends at 11 PM. Please arrange for transportation at 11 PM.
- Students who leave before 11 PM will not be allowed to re-enter.
- Any student expelled or administratively transferred from Washington is NOT allowed to attend prom. Students suspended the week of May 13-19 will NOT be allowed to attend Prom and their tickets will not be refunded.
Guest Policy
Any current junior or senior may purchase tickets and invite one (1) guest to attend the Prom. Guests may be:
- a current WTMS high school student (grades 9-12)
- a recent WTMS high school graduate (must be under 21 years old)
- a current high school student from another high school
Guests must complete a WTMS Prom Guest Form in order to attend. Paper copies are available in the library. Do not wait until the last minute to complete this form!
It is the responsibility of Washington students who bring a guest or date who does not attend Washington to inform their guest of the rules. Guests are required to follow school policies regardless of their age.
Dress Code
The Prom is a formal event requiring formal attire. Students should wear dresses, suits, and/or tuxedos. Not jeans, sweats, t-shirts, or shorts.

Who is allowed to go to Prom?
Juniors and Seniors and their one guest (age 20 years or younger) may attend.
Can I bring a guest? What if I want to bring someone who isn’t a junior or senior?
Yes! You may invite another high school student (9th-12th grade) or a recent high school graduate (age 20 years or younger) to attend as your guest.
Note: All guests who are not current WTMS students MUST have a completed guest form to attend.

What time is Prom?
Prom is from 7-11 pm
Doors will open at 7 pm and close at 8 pm.
Note: No one will be admitted after 8 pm.
How much does Prom cost?
Each ticket is $35
When can I buy the ticket?
Ticket sales start April 18th and end May 16th.
Tickets can be purchased before school (7:00-7:25) , during lunch, or after school (2-3:30). No ticket sales during classes.
What do I need when I buy tickets?
The money and each person’s first name, last name and the CIF number for any WashTech students.
Note: Each person attending the prom must have a ticket. Non WTMS students must have a guest form on file to attend.
What do I need to do to buy a ticket for my non-WTMS guest?
You need to have a guest form fully filled out when you buy the ticket. You can pick them up in the library. Do NOT wait until the week of Prom to get it filled out.
Note: No guest form= No ticket for a non-WTMS student.
What do I need to bring with me for the Dance?
You must have your ticket and ID to get into the dance.
Note: NO ticket = NO entrance into the dance AND no refund
Can I leave the dance and then get back in?
No, once you leave the dance you cannot come back in.
